Farming in DoA?
First of all, I want to make sure that first DoA is one of the best ways to make money? Then my next question is; which part of DoA do I farm? Then my last question, how am I supposed to farm? Solo? Full Party? 600? I would really like to know.
Thanks, and make sure to give good answers

How do i make money?
Where should i farm?
What build should i take?
There should be a three strike and you're out policy around here.
Read the forum rules and the stickies my lazy little friend. You could also try scrolling past the first page, you'll see a thread titled Farming DoA : Foundry, Stygian Veil, City and Gloom.

Well, yesterday I farmed like 5 runs on my sin solo in Ravenheart, didn't get anything good.
So just trying to figure out what I should use, and yes, I shall use the search function more. Sorry about that.

Then use the search function already! Most of the posts contains statistic on how many gems/golds that one gets within an hour/week/day or whatever.
If not, put a question in the topic itself, no need to make a new one...

There's an inherent randomness in any zone, so predicting drops is like asking "how long is a piece of string?"
You could get 6 ectos on a UW run (very unlikely), or you could get 0 (very likely). If it averages out to 1-2 per run, you should be happy with that.
Try out some builds, choose your location and let us know how you got on

Well right now, I did 3 runs of uw today, got no ectos. My last 8 rusn before that I did, only got 2 ectos. I have done uw on my VwK war and SF Sin. Neither seem to work, so was trying DoA.
I Was using the Assasin Gloom Farmer from Pvxwiki, farming the caster groups in Ravenheart gloom. Didn't really get anything good, so I thought Ravenheart gloom isn't worth farming. So I wanted to know if there was an alternative, whether the different places there to go. I'm not really asknig for builds and everything, but let me just ask these 2 questions. I still am and will keep researching, but if its not too much, can these 2 questions be answered.
1: Is DoA one of bets ways to farm, and will it be worth my time?
2: If there is any famous or bets spot to farm in DoA, which explorable?
If I know those 2 things, or any information about that, I will search for the rest.
Thanks.

DoA - No 1k entry fee, means you can only gain gold and lose time.
UW - ectos, but you always lose 1k
Famous Farming spots: check the friggin list of farming builds!! Its a sticky!!

Farming DOA, UW, or anything a lot of it is luck...one day u may get ecto after ecto...another day nothing...but you have to do more than 3 or 4 runs though before you can throw in the towel. UW is fine, it still works as does DOA but it's not one particular build that doesn't yield any drops, it's the amount of people farming the area and just plain old luck but please don't start a repeat of an old thread just because drops have been bad the last 10 times or so u've done a run...it's just silly

Hmm, well I may have to work with this then, thanks. Does anyone really have a map of what a 600/smiter goes? I'd like to mod up my monk and hero to do that maybe.

Go here and look under M for Monk. There are a couple of different builds you can take a look at their for the 600 monk. There are also all the other profs as well to see if one of them might spark something of interest.

I do the Gloom farm with my E/A. I was getting a gem every 3-5 runs. I would farm 3 caster mobs each run. Chance at a chest every 5-7 runs approximately. Is it worth it? NO! Torment gems go for 2-3k now, they are the cheapest gem. The mob drops 2-3 whites and every once in awhile a gold. I suspect that my drops are reduced since my ele is only used lately for farming and the way in which the mobs are killed affects the drops. By that, I mean massive AoE damage that kills them all in the same few seconds. You can kill 8, miss 1. The 8 drop 2 items. The last one drops an item. Apparently there is a code that reduces the drops when AoE nuked and I have read about it as well on other forums.....
I quit farmin them awhile ago. For Stygian Veil I bring 3 ranger heros and trap them at the corner. Requires alot of micro managing but good for a change of pace. These gems go for 3-4k and drop a little more frequent. Still not worth it unless you need those last few for an Armbrace...

READ THIS Doubefoot
Solo farming the DoA is bad.
Do Quad runs (thats all 4 areas in 1 sitting) and if titan gems are still going down in price end the quad run with the city or veil. the choice is up to the group on what area to start in.
the reason you do quad runs is:
1 gem from the first chest + gems from monsters
2 gems from the 2nd chest + gems from monsters
3 gems from the 3rd chest + gems from monsters
4 gems from the 4th chest + gems from monsters
Thats 10 total gems just from the chests (that does not include the ones you will get from monsters.
After you do the quad run you all resign and go back to town to advance the quest so you can kill mallyx
Thats another 4 gems 1 of each. With a grand total of 14 gems (not including the gems from monters) + gold and green items.
It is very easy to make alot of money doing DOA quad runs.
With this info you should now have what you want.
If you want a more info PM me on Guru.

Well I'm imagining a r6 Norn Ursanway would work imo. I have my sin at r2 atm, getting him to r6, hes got 13-14 crit strikes and 12 scythe mastery
Sound good?

Currently the team build is 5 Ursan and 3 Monks. With rank 5 or above in Norn and Lightbringer you should be fine. I go W/Rit for spirits and death pact signet with Ursan as Elite, but really primary and secondary don't matter.
Monks are 2 Healers Boon and 1 LOD with Arcane Mimicry. The team build is actually posted on Pvxwiki. I've linked it for the monk builds. For ursan grab a zealous weapon. Even if you're a caster please bring a shield and melee weapon!
http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Te...neral_Ursanway
For Mallyx, I prefer WoH on monks to avoid the enchantment temptation.
